Insurance Coverage
As Traditional Chinese Medicine gains recognition in the U.S. , more insurance companies such as United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna cover acupuncture for the treatment of pain.
Florida Acupuncturists are Primary Healthcare Practitioners
As your primary healthcare practitioner, we complete an initial assessment of your overall health according to Traditional Chinese Medical principles. Upon completion of this assessment, we develop a specific treatment plan to reduce pain, increase energy and promote better health and well-being. In addition, we refer patients to other healthcare specialists who may better serve your needs. We do not treat medical emergencies nor is our treatment a replacement of medical care.
Health Insurance
As a courtesy, we can bill your insurance company for acupuncture services. Coverage will depend on your contract with your insurance company. Most plans require a $250 -650 deductible and a co-pay or coinsurance of $15 - 30. This means that you are responsible for paying the deductible before insurance will cover your treatment.
Personal Injury (No-Fault)
No-fault insurance will cover acupuncture , but requires a referral from your physician. No-fault insurance will cover 80% of services and you are responsible for 20%.
Time of Service Discounts
If you do not have insurance, you may qualify for a time of service discount which is 20% off the normal fees. Refer to the treatment packages for more information.
